‘Pink Lake’ is part of a series of abstract drawings, mainly of landscapes that are about free drawing and about the quality of the surface and intensity of the colour.
This is a half light image. Somewhere at the end of the day, or at the beginning. That time just after the sun has set or just before the sun has risen.
I really love this series because they are so direct and crisp. I mask the edge to frame the image on the paper (it’s A6 on an A4 paper) which gives it more of a print* quality than a drawing. I hope you like them too.
