‘Quite North’ is part of a series of abstract drawings, mainly of landscapes that are about free drawing and about the quality of the surface and intensity of the colour.
The whiteness is what i imagine the arctic, or Scandinavia looks like. I’ve been to neither. But when I think of the location of this abstracted landscape, i imagine it’s quite north!
I really love this series because they are so direct and crisp. I mask the edge to frame the image on the paper (it’s A6 on an A4 paper) which gives it more of a print* quality than a drawing. I hope you like them too.
